Thursday, 4/2/20 - Be A Peacemaker
The Daily Manna
Welcome to your Thursday devotional and news update.
COVID-19 SITUATION: Due to the state mandated ban on public gatherings, and in order to best protect our members, guests, and our community, all public gatherings and events are suspended until further notice. Please subscribe to The Daily Manna to stay informed.
Devotional
We are currently in a series of devotionals over the book of Matthew. Every day we will have a devotion from a different chapter of the book.
Text: “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” - Matthew 5:9
Devotional: Children do the things their fathers do. To be a peacemaker is to be like our heavenly Father. Those who can truly be called children of God because they do the things God does are blessed indeed. God is the ultimate peacemaker, making peace with us when we were dead in our sins through the sacrifice of Jesus. Will we show the same attitude of peace that was exemplified in Christ’s life and in His sacrifice, and in so doing, be called God’s children?
Prayer: My Father, I want to be your child. I want to do the things you do. Because you made peace with me when I was a sinner, please help me to have the heart of a peacemaker today.
Challenge: Make peace today with all you come in contact with; be kind and compassionate without exception.

Announcements
With the statewide mandate of no public gatherings, all our events and services have been canceled until further notice. We are unsure of how long this ban will persist, but since we understand that the function of the church does not rely on the availability to meet in a building, we will continue to do our work as normal. Please stay tuned to this newsletter to keep updated on when things change and we can meet in person again.
Upcoming Events
All upcoming events for the next few weeks have been canceled due to the spread of COVID-19 in our area. Please see the “Events” page on our website for a complete list of upcoming events in the future.
