Devotional

We are currently in a series of devotionals over the book of Matthew. Every day we will have a devotion from a different chapter of the book.

Text: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.” - Matthew 5:6

Devotional: If we got hungry for spiritual things like we get hungry for physical food, how different would our relationships with God look like? Jesus promises that the people who yearn for a relationship with Him as consistently as they do for physical sustenance will receive what they seek because they will not rest until they have it—the same as one who will not rest until his hunger and thirst are satisfied. Do you hunger for God like you hunger for physical food?

Prayer: God, I am hungry for deeper relationship with you. Please help me achieve a closer walk with you despite my physical limitations and focus. Help me to see what truly matters, and have a constant desire for it.

Challenge: Every time you eat today, make sure to accompany it with a prayer to God for righteousness.

Announcements

  • With the statewide mandate of no public gatherings, all our events and services have been canceled until further notice. We are unsure of how long this ban will persist, but since we understand that the function of the church does not rely on the availability to meet in a building, we will continue to do our work as normal. Please stay tuned to this newsletter to keep updated on when things change and we can meet in person again.
